The Fall Harvest

Fall happens to be my most favorite time of year.  I love the change of seasons and seeing the vibrant colors of Fall.  As I look back at my life I see that most of the significant changes in my life always seemed to happen in the Fall.  Some of those changes were filled with incredible joy, but some were filled with intense sadness.  But always it seemed like the major life changing events in my life happened in the last quarter of the year.  As I reflected on this idea it came to me that we sow the seeds of our life and what we sow is manifested like a  harvest in the Fall.  When I realized the reality of this fact in my own life, it left me with a profound sense of understanding the idea of “what you sow, you will reap”.

Sometimes that sowing period took more then just nine months or one year.  Sometimes what was sown took a couple of years, but like magic what was sown reaped into my life in the Fall.  This included finding new love, entering new fields of work, establishing new businesses, being promoted into new positions, and even ending dear loving relationships.  I challenge you to take a few minutes from your busy schedule to mentally review what seeds you’ve sown and how they harvested later in your life.  You may find a similar pattern as the one I experience in my life.

More importantly, knowing that we choose what we sow, what seeds we will plant, and I’m not just talking about the literal seeds we plant in our gardens, but those seeds we sow in our minds, in our actions and in our words that later produce the resulting changes in our world.  If we are made aware of what we are really planting in our lives should we be surprised with the outgrowth?  Should we be so surprised at the harvest when the season for production manifests the results we’ve been planting all along in our life?  Sometimes we are not aware that we are even planting seeds.  Those seeds of doubt that our good will come.  Seeds of resentment that manifest a broken relationship.  Seeds of interest and pursuit that result in obtaining our desires.

I challenge you, dear reader, to be consciously aware of the seeds you choose to plant.  For you will see resulting harvest from those seeds.  It might take a few short months, it may take a year or more but I guarantee that the seeds you plant in your mind and in your heart will flourish to produce the wonderful (or terrible) outcome in your life.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.

I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
