The Divine Plan of your life

Do you sometimes wonder what you were meant to do in life?  Ever question what your purpose here on earth should be about?  Often times these were questions that we explored as children or as young adults. But as our adult lives became fixed by the day-to-day realities of marriage, children, and careers we stopped questioning what our true role should be in this life.  The day-to-day requires so much of our time, so much of our energy, that by the end of the day we look at what little may have been accomplished in the day, or week, or month, or year and wonder “is this all there is?”.

It’s no wonder so many of us turn to intoxicants to give us more stimulation in our lives, or to just dull the pain.  Some of us dwell on the thoughts of living years in quiet desperation and begin the slow decent to depression and discontent.  Again, turning to artificial stimulants to mask the pain of loneliness and despair.

The REAL reality is that we don’t have to live in this state of being.  Each one of us has a role in the universe which is called our Divine Plan.  You were placed on this earth to do something of greater value to the world.  Those of you, dear readers, that are already experiencing your divine plan know what I am talking about.  Your daily actions and attitude are such that you feel content, satisfied and happy with your lives.  I congratulate those of you who are already there.  Continue to express praise and gratitude to your divine master planner, The Lord God, each and every day and you will continue to walk the wondrous journey.

But if you are not in that state of being then this message is for you.  You must reach out to God to have Him reveal the Divine Plan of your life to you.  He will reveal this plan if you ask Him.  If you walked away from God or have never really known Him, then it is as easy as making the decision to work on building a relationship with God to have it happen.

This is no difference then choosing to build a relationship with a new found friend or working on enhancing your relationship with your spouse, significant other, or your children.  It does take (1) the decision you want to have a better relationship, and (2) the conscience work of building that relationship on a day-to-day basis.

I have included some affirmations that you can use to start this building process with God.  Even those of you that feel you could be a little more focused on what God wants from you in this life can use these affirmations.  These are affirmations that have changed my life.  I have been blessed to have found my purpose at a fairly young age.  I was meant to serve others.  I did this in the capacity of working as a Human Resources professional for close to 30 years.  I loved working with people.  I found my greatest joy in seeing their successes.  I still do. When I put in effort to do for others I find the greatest sense of joy fills my heart to overflowing.

But I will warn you.  Calling to God to reveal the Divine Plan for your life is going to possibly expose you to changes you never saw coming.  Life doesn’t remain the same when God starts bringing the universe into alignment to bring you your Divine Plan.  Quite the opposite.  When that alignment starts your world may be significantly rocked.  I can’t begin to tell you how many times my life has been turned on its axis because God was preparing me for another significant step in my life.  When life begins to change for you you must have faith and trust that it’s all going to work out for the better.

When we ask God to bring the right people, right places, right possessions in our lives you may be incredibly surprised at who and what gets dropped out of your life.  You might experience loss, like a loss of a current job.  Most folks go into a tailspin when this happens because they don’t have a crystal ball to see into the future. They can’t even imagine that the universe is preparing the way to bring better things to them and a better life.  They see only the tragedy of the moment and can’t fathom that the Lord is moving this out of life so He can bring in the new – the better.  This is the true test of faith and trust.  Hanging on and waiting for the whole picture to be completed.  Oh, but how wonderful that picture will be when it is done.  Until you are executing your Divine Plan you have no idea what real joy feels like.  You are in for a very special treat!

Affirmations to be done each day (out loud):

“I now release everything and everyone that are no longer part of the Divine Plan of my Life.  Everything and everybody that are no longer part of the Divine Plan of my life now releases me.”

“I now let go and let God unfold the Divine Plan of my life.  I am now attuned to the Divine Plan of my life.  I now cooperate with the Divine Plan of my life.  Christ in me now manifests the divine plan of my life quickly and in peace.”

“I now recognize, accept, and follow the divine plan of my life as it is revealed to me, step by step.  I rejoice in the divine plan, which is the sublime plan, and which includes health, wealth, happiness, joy, love and perfect self-expression for me now.”

“Nothing can hinder the divine plan of my life.  No one can delay the Divine plan of my life.  What God has given me cannot be diminished.”
