Just one person

I love to hear stories of how just one person taking the initative to do something that stirred their soul makes the greatest impact ever.  I believe that many of us don’t feel we could make that much of a difference in this world.  How untrue this is.  I am a firm believer that everything we do in this life impacts so many more people then we are even aware of.  I love to hear the stories that run pretty regularily on the daily news broadcasts that focus on amazing things being done by those that cared enough to step out of their comfort zones to do something.

I am particularily fond of watching the segment from MSNBC Nightly News “Making a Difference”.  It is usually run at the last few minutes of the day’s world news broadcast.  I would have to say this is the best part of the news.  It puts the focus on the everyman/everywoman in our country who individually decided they cared enough to put themselves out for others.  Here are a couple of segments that I hope you will enjoy.

So when you think nothing you can do will make a difference – know that you are wrong.  Your words and your actions will impact so many that you will never ever see.  Imagine if we all made the decision to do one kind action, say one kind word, or implement an idea that has been lingering in the back of your mind but weren’t sure it would make any difference – know that it will.

All the great inventors, all the great philosophers, all the great innovators, all the great artists were just one person thinking they could make a difference.
